Electronic locators will not find a plastic line. You have to dig until you find it. But is that line after the check valve from the pump to the tank? If not, you are only going to get water from it when the pump is running. : I just layed a trench to hook up to my water feed from my well, in the yard, before it reaches the estrel tank in the house. I have a general idea where it is(within 30 feet) and I trenched over it. I suspect the line is deeper than my trench(42 inches).
