In response to Re: Hard to Reach leaky tub drain assembly.
: Here is my problem. I installed a new tub and drain assembly. This is my first time doing something like this and they say you learn from mistakes. Well, I am learning A LOT.

: So anyways, my drain assembly is leaking. The assembly is not easily accessible and I want to just caulk the seam that is leaking, but I can't reach it that easily. So my question is, is there some sort of nozzle I could use to get in there or is there a sealant of sort I could pour down the drain that would seal problem connection? Thanks in advance for any help.

There are tools available (basin wrench with a large jaw) that will fit into tight spots and allow you to possibly reach the joint that's leaking.
Caulking is not for fixing leaks in plumbing, even if it says it does on the packaging.
