In response to Re: Flexible vs. rigid copper tubing
: I need to run some plumbing in the floor, cutting through several joists. I don't want to notch out and lay in rigid pipe, nor do I want to sweat several 12" sections together with all those unions.

: I was thinking I would use flex tubing. I would need it to handle 3/4" supply lines (both H and C) as well as a 1/2" run for the reciriculating line.

: Anyone have an opinion? Ever had to do something similar?

: Thanks, Matt

What are you talking about here, plastic water line like Pex or CPVC or soft copper?
If the holes for the water lines are drilled near the bottom of the joists (they should never be notched on the bottom), you may get enough flex in rigid copper to get it through.
