Break the floor. Cut a fitting into the underfloor drain to provide a point of connection. Run the drain from that point to the new shower location, providing for a vent in the proper location. Have the installation inspected. Fill the ditch and pour concrete. Set the shower stall, or build the tile one. Install the water lines and valve. Finish tiling the shower. Turn on the water and enjoy it.
I am doing some preliminary ideas on a remodel for next year. We have a 1/2 bath with closet adjacent that is the same width as the bathroom. We are thinking of closing the closet off in the hallway, and opening it to the bath as additional room in which to install a walkin type shower.
: We have a concrete slab, can we add a shower to bathroom with a slab? If so what is the basic principle so I can do some additional research.
