The water from the sump pump runs into the yard resulting in a wet, mushy yard. We had dirt delivered to try and "build-up" the lower area where the water runs off, in an effort to devert the water to another spot, but to no avail. I just dug a trench and buried the pcv pipe across the yard, but now when the water drains from the sump water, it still has no where to go. I am thinking about digging some type of drainage ditch filled with gravel. I am sick of the mushy yard and my husband is sick of the ditches in the yard that I have been digging. I am wondering if there is a way to keep the pcv pipe buried and to still allow the water to flow freely without dirt getting into the pcv pipe. Any suggestion would be helpful. Thank you.
