We recently installed a new Bosch (SHV6803) dishwasher and had a nightmare time with it. First off, after installing it with the air gap draining into a new In-sink-erator disposer (yes, I punched out the seal!) , the water positively gushed out of the air gap (no gentle trickle). Everything is new so there are obviously no clogs or build-up, the drain line is straight without obvious crimps or low-spots... I'm at a loss! Please help. I am so fed up with it, I am seriously considering scrapping the whole air gap idea.
The second problem we encountered has to do with the actual dishwasher... the spray arms don't spray. I switched it on, it fills with water and hums along, then finally drains, but no spray! Is there something obvious I could check before calling out a professional? This is the first time I've encountered a new dishwasher not working and we splashed out on a top-of-the-line Bosch as well!!
