We bought an older home with ceramic tile walls in the bathroom. Previous owner "re-grouted" over the tile with a rubber caulk material. He did not thoroughly wash excess caulk off the tile surface. The caulk has yellowed (looks like urine), both in the grout lines and on the entire surface of the tiles. Tried scrubbing with Tilex, bleach, even SOS pads, - nothing works. Is there some chemical solvent that will disolve the caulk so we can re-grout as it should be done? Thanks
