|In response to Re: Anodes, heaters, and stink|
: Hey all, I've been reading some posts which attribute well water stink to sulfites and anode chemical reactions. The remedy has been to remove the anode. I'm considering this and checked out some info on anodes and water heaters. I found this:
: "This rod is a length of magnesium or aluminum that is suspended in the tank and acts like a magnet to attract charged water molecules that would otherwise attack the steel tank. "
: My question is, how do you protect the tank once you remove the anode?
: Thanks. Munky, With no anode of any type i don't think there is any way of protecting the tank
