: A friend of mine had the same problem. I was able to push a piece of cast iron pipe up in the hose and clamp it with an automotive clamp. The smaller hole was just enough to restrict the flow and slow it down. : Be carefull not to restrict the hole too much and cause the pressure to blow the hose off. : : I just moved into an older house that is on a sewer line. The problem is that the washing machine drains and backs up and sprays water out the drain hose. I have put a regular garden hose down the drain and it works fine. I have also made sure there was nothing clogging up the drain. The washer just seems to drain to fast for the drain? any suggestions woudld be appreciated Is this a city or a country(well) system ?
