If you have a warm air furnace then the existing ductwork may be usable and you just have to instal the indoor coil and the outdoor unit and connect them together along with some wiring. This would be the easiest way to add AC. If you have any other type of heating, since gas can be used with any one of them, then it will be harder and more expensive.
: I have a 2000 sqft home that has gas heating but no AC. What is the level of effort to install airconditioning in a situation like this and what is a very general estimate of labor costs (just to get an idea if this is even remotely possible)
