|In response to Re: Eljer Tub|
I assume this is a cast iron tub. If so it might be worth the expense of having a finish repair company look at it. But first I would have the Eljer representative check it out. Their normal response would be to send you a new tub and you cover the expense of installing it, but they might also pay at least some of the repair costs. The refinishers are usually in the phone book under Fiberglas plumbing fixture repairs.
: I have installed a new Eljer bathtub and spent hours installing new tile around it. It appears that I have some hairline cracks in the bottom of the tub and some rust which develops over a few days (within the cracks). Is there something I can do to refinish or repair the tub without ripping out all my new tile?
