Umless your nut has the coarse thread, you will be better off just reusing it with the new valve. The only safe way for a DIY'er to remove it is with a sleeve puller and you do not have one. : hi, : i am trying to replace the angle valve that controls the water flow to the toilet. how do i remove the old compression ring and nut so i can install the new valve? thanks!!
