|In response to Re: Shower Arm Flange|
I have the same setup in a bathroom I remodeled two years ago and all I did was push the flange against the wall and placed a small bead of clear silicone caulk where the flange and arm meet. It has held fine and the painted greenboard is as strong as ever. You could put some caulk where the flange and wall meet after the first caulking dries but you probably don't have to worry about water getting that high and behind the flange anyway. Clear silicone caulk is the best product ever made!!!
