It usually just fits on the shower arm tight enough so it does not move. But "painted greenboard" for a shower stall? That should last about 2 months. : I have assembled a new shower arm & flange in my bathroom. The instructions from the manufacturer do not explain anything about securing/sealing it to the wall. I now have a flange that is just sitting on the shower arm. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should secure/seal the flange to the wall? The wall is painted green board.
