Not unless you have a swimming pool filler or lawn sprinkler system that will also be turned off when you do it. You don't have to do it, but you might want to turn a gas water heater to the pilot position or turn off the circuit breakers for an electric one.
: I'm leaving on a trip for about 10 days and thinking of shutting off the water into the house. Is there anything about doing that which could cause a problem ?
