|In response to Re: Hot water heater|
I experienced this problem recently with my 13 yr old TTW2 heater as well. 1st 2 visits by technicans resulted in replacing the thermocouple. Pilot still occassionally went out. Visit this past weekend proved that exhaust motor was seizing up (because of dirt/dust buildup) and lack of exhaust venting was putting out the pilot. My solution is to either have motor replaced or just get entire new unit since it is at its life expectancy anyway.
