In an earlier post I asked about replacing a bathtub faucet, but I should have asked about a bathtub spout. So, there is no screw on the underside of the existing spout and there is a bead of caulk/silicone where the spout meets the wall. Can I just cut through the caulk/silicone and twist off the spout, or do I need to be aware of any potential problems? Your help is appreciated.
