|In response to Re: distribution pipe size problem HELP!!!|
I would be interested in the reason for not using the 1" pipe. Regardless of the pipe size, the pump delivers a certain amount of water and if that amount is not enough the pressue at the outlet end drops. If it is sufficient, then the pressure will rise until the cutout point on the pump is satisfied. The size of the pipe has no effect on either volume or pressure if it is the proper size or larger.
: I mistakenly laid and buried 1" plack poly pipe 200psi
: I am using a 24 volt submersible pump powered from my solar battery bank. This pump requires a distribution line no bigger than 1/2 ".
: I have been unable to locate 1/2" poly pipe in a length long enough to slip inside the 1" pipe... if infact that would even work...
: Any suggestions would be appreciated as I do not want to dig a new trench or dig up the old one.
