In response to Re: Eljer Tub faucets - how to remove handle?
: My house was built in 1980 and the faucets in the tub are starting to leak. The controls are 3 knobs (hot, cold, and shower). Each knob has a screw in the middle. Taking the screw out doesn't appear to be enough to remove the knob. From what I have found on this board it appears they could be soldered or I need to use a faucet puller to remove the knob. It doesn't appear to me that there is any solder there and I even heated the knob up for good measure -- no luck.

: I haven't been able to find any information out about this specific faucet. Anyone happen to know if the knob puller is a good idea, or any other suggests?

: Thanks in advance for any advice

Shannon,
If the handles do not come off, you probably need a handle puller. They can just get stubborn after they have been on for years. Handle pullers are fairly inexpensive. You may also need a special wrench to get the stems out.
When buying replacement seats, washers, or stems, buy only original manufacturer parts.
