|In response to Re: Kitchen sink relocation|
If you can get a pipe from the new location to the existing vent pipe, then it is okay to do it. If you have to install a new vent through the roof, be sure to put a cap over the old one so you do not get leaks from rain water coming into it.
: I'm planning on relocating my kitchen sink to the other side of the room (about 10 ft). I know I'm going to have to move the sewer pipe over but I'm unsure about the vent pipe. Can I tie into the existing one laterally or should I install a new one for the new sink? A dishwasher will also be using this line also.
