|In response to Re: Help with new bathroom in basement.|
The wet bar sink is a full size sink (~34"x22"). The county considers this a "kithchen sink" even though its in my basement and will be used as a wet bar. They consider anything over 12"x12" a "kitchen sink".
The inspector said not to mix the kitchen sink drain with anything else because food waste stuff could plug up the line. Could be a local rule? I couldn't find any reference in four different plumbing books from the library. Couldn't find it in the 1996 CABO either. A mystery.
What do think about combining a utiity tub 1.5" line and a bathroom tub 1.5" line via a wye into a 2" line? It would save a lot of work for me. I can't find any rule that says I can't do it!
