|In response to Re: shower base|
: I just purchased a neo-angle shower kit; the base appears to rest quite solidly when on a level floor.
: Is it neccesary to lay down a bed of mortar prior to installing the base? Also, is it best to lay down the base on top of finished flooring or on an unfinished floor? This is to be installed in a basement bath, and I am having a plumber do the DWV system; once the rough-in is complete, I will cover with concrete and install the shower myself...
If the floor is fairly level , a 1" piece of styrfoam insulation makes a nice cushion, and also makes for a warmer floor when first stepping in to the shower. (especially a basement shower). Hube
