(if you know the manufacturer they probably have a website with a PDF file for installation). as far as i know it doesn't matter, if the floor is finished with something like vct tile you shouldn't have a problem. i did the rough in myself, no fun, the hardest part was lining up the waste trap with the shower base. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!
