Ernie, if you have access to the pipe underneath just cut it and install new pipe and then the flange. Its almost impossible to disconnect the flange from a copper pipe and if you try you just damage the pipe anyway. Go to a plumbing supply store or home depot. They can set you up with the right size PVC pipe to replace the section you cut and then slide the flange into the new pipe
: I'm remodeling my bathroom and I need to get the flange that the toilet sits on off because I'm installing new subfloor and tile.It's connected to about 3" or so copper pipe.How do I get it off?
