: I have purchased a house that has a septic system that makes "growling" noises - sounds like a beast with an upset stomach! The system was cleaned and inspected as a condition of purchase - no problems were found. Can you tell me why it grumbles and growls? A little more detail will help with problem. is this noise from the pressure tank, or from the area of the septic bed? Does the noise occur when a tap is on? Do you have a press. tank with a bladder?
