If you are going tankless, gas would be the only practical method of heating the water. If the tankless is installed at the same location that a tank type would have been installed, then the only benefit is the smaller space required. The water and gas costs will be just about the same. : Any recommendations as to brand and model for my 4 bed/3 baths home? : How does tankless compare to gas?
