Chances are you have a compression angle stop. You have to grap the valve body with a pair of channel locks to "back it up", then while holding the valve firmly from turning, use a crescent wrench to turn the nut clockwise.

The angle stop will come off, but you will maybe need a puller to pull the old nut & compression ring off your copper pipe before installing the new one.
