Thanks. The house is very old - 1860's. Had a lot of updates since then, but yes, it's very old. The plumber tried a "motorized?" snake, but he was concerned about damaging the pipes, so tomorrow he's coming back with a hand held one - supposedly more gentle on the pipes. He also talked about a possibility of the clog happening under the toilet. Question: How could a vent problem prohibit the bathtub drain from draining?
