: I have a wash machine drain line that backs up and overflows. When the water is cut off all the waters drains rapidly. All other appliaces in the house drain fine. The line has been snaked with a 50ft a few times from the drain line, now i live alabama and we have had alot of rain. my wife uses a fabic softner in the washer, could this be the problem? please reply to my email if u can ty the date is 3/28/03

It sounds like the drain pipe is not vented properly or the pipe is too small diameter. If there is sufficient space, you can add some extra length to the stand pipe or add a vent. Did the washer ever drain properly or did it start doing this all of a sudden?
