Adapting a new pricepfister faucet to my old pedistal sink

I recently bought a price pfister 49-JOXC faucet for my refinished pedestal sink. All is well except that the middle hole in my sink is too large for the decorative ring that Price Pfister supplied to fit at the base of the faucet. I need a ring with the same inside diameter and inset as the one supplied but that is approximately 1/4"- 1/2" larger in outside diameter. Have you ever run into this problem and do you have any suggestions? I tried the Price Pfister web site www.pricepfister.com but the URL no longer seems to work? Can a part like this be readily found? Or does it have to be made? Would Price Pfister have a selection of different sizes if I could get a hold of them?
