Check the electric input demand for the SETS tank. Anything that would give you enough hot water for a family of six, unless there is only one tub/shower would require a much larger wire than the existing tank, and also a larger circuit breaker that your existing electrical system might not support. : I currently have a 50gal hot water heater in a summer cottage. I also have a family of six. I am considering either replacing with a 120g electric heater or perhaps front ending with a SETS tankless, with the intention to increase the recovery time. Any opinions?
