|In response to Re: hot water goes cold when commode flushed|
They should already know, since it has probably been happening since the condo was built. There is no cure other than replacing the tub/shower valve with a pressure balanced one.
: We are leasing a condo that is 17 years old. While showering, if someone else flushes the commode, or uses another water source in the place, the hot water disappears for about 20 seconds. This also happens when no one in the unit is using water. We do live in a high mineral content area (calcium - Austin, Tx.). The hot water heater also makes noises when activated. Shall I call a plumber and alert the landlord? It is very annoying on cold mornings, and I hate the thought of having guests being tortured by sudden loss of hot water.
