There are several different types of drains, but if yours is the lift up style then use a pair of pliers to remove the small knob on the top of it and then a screwdriver to unscrew the drain plug itself.
: I need to clean the hair out of my tub drain and I don't know how to get the drain plug out. The last time I had a plumber here, he showed me how and as I remember, it was easy. Now I can't get it out.
