|In response to Re: tub diverter problem|
There is a problem with the diverter stem or the way it is, or was, installed. I assume the new stems were exactly like the old ones and were from the original manuafacturer.
: My house is 21 years old, my shower is the 3 faucet type. I just replaced the stems and handles. When I turn on the water and then the faucet for the shower head, water still comes out of the spicket for the tub. So what I am getting is about 70 percent from the shower head and 30 percent from the tub spicket at the same time. I then put the original stem in the middle thinking that the new stem is wrong, but the same thing happens. Very weird, I had 21 year old stems that worked fine, wanted to upgrade, and I put new ones in and have problems, I don't know what to do. Please help.
