|In response to Re: Baseboard heater pipe repair...need help.|
If there is ANY water in the baseboard, it will be impossible to unsolder the joint. You will probably have to disassemble the joint and redo it since it would not have started leaking if it had been done properly in the beginning.
: I'm a pretty handy homeowner when it comes to carpetry, but so far plumbing is not my bag.
: I sprung a dripping leak in a baseboard heater pipe (copper) coupler. One side of it corroded. My plumber can't make it out for 1.5 weeks, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
: I heated up the coupler with a propane torch several times, even for a few minutes a time. I put a wrench to it and it won't budge. Can anyone lend some suggestions?
