Liquid plummer and the foaming stuff you bout probally made the stoppage worse. Hire a good reasonable drain cleaner in your area. We charge $50.00 to correct that problem. The overflow plate needs to be removed and a snake needs to be run through it. You will probally pull out a hair clog or something similar out of the drain if you do it yourself.
We just bought an older house.. the bathtub water does not drain well..it backs up until there is about 2 inches of water in the tub, then drains slowly. There is an access door and when I look at the pipes it looks like the way the waste pipes are positioned, that water cannot flow fast enough.. Can someone tell me.. how to fix? I used Liquid Plumber - foaming snake and that didn't work..
