1.Replace the galvanized supply lines with copper.
2.Replace the galvanized drain lines with PVC.
3.Cast is great for a drainline except it is hard to work with. There are a couple of ways to cut cast pipe. You can rent a snap cutter, but they require a little bit of room to operate. You can use a reciprical saw with a metal cutting blade. Or, you can use an industrial grinder. Be careful with the grinder, they are powerful and if they get hung up they will jerk out of you hands and injure you. After the cast is cut, use a Fernco neoprine coupler and PVC pipe to the new drains.
