Increase residential water pressure

My house is on a town water system and due to elevation (almost equal to water tanks) and distance from main, I would like to increase my household water pressure. Would a jet pump and booster tank be the right answer. Any information and sources of information choosing the pump/tank combo and installation would be very helpful. I have experience with household plumbing, I just need a little guidance. Thanks
