|In response to Re: Refigerator water supply|
From a taste perspective, the choice is yours. The water filter in the fridge will not remove anything extra from either hard or soft water. These filters target disolved gasses (like chlorine) and suspended solids, but will not remove the disolved solids either before or after the water softener process.
From a corrosion perspective, the difference is still being debated.
: I am installing a water supply line to a new refrigerator that has a water and ice dispenser. It is a GE refrigerator with a built in water filter. I have hard water with a water softener installed in my home. Is it better to use soft or hard water to the refrigerator. I can easily tie into the water supply before or after the softner. Thanks in advance for your response.
