Only on the rinse cycle? I would assume that it would happen whenever the dishwasher is emptying. Sounds like the drain path is partially blocked or otherwise obstructed. Check the hoses underneath the sink, making sure that the hose from the air-gap to the drain is not kinked. Also, make sure to run the garbage disposal until it is clear before starting the diswasher.
: When the dishwasher is on the rinse cycle water starts to pour out of the air gap. Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it. Help!
