You should keep the turns to a minimum and when exceeding 180 total degrees you should install a cleanout. At that time, all the houses I worked on in Chicago were cast iron. : am starting to consider new bathroom over garage. my questions are; does it matter how many turns i make in routing my new stack to the main line? : i have a 4" floor drain and then my washing machine and sink, this is where i would need to cut into concrete to add. and problem with this? : my suburban chicago house was built in '67, do you think i will have cast under the concrete? : how will i cut the existing pipe and add a t, will i use pvc? : how do you deal with morons like us?
