|In response to Re: Overflow for custom tile tub/shower|
: If you can get the overflow fitting to work, then you can tie it into a tee in the riser under the drain fitting.
: : Hi All,
: : I'm getting a custom tile tub/shower built to replace a fiberglass shower unit. This is sometimes referred to as a tile roman tub/shower. According to the local inspector an overflow is not required for this type of construction, but I'd like to know if anyone has a recommendation on how to implement an overflow drain. A 2" clamping type drain for built up shower pans will be used.
: : The current drain connection is to a 2" back to back no hub cast iron. Can add a Wye to this and connect this to a stand alone overlow and P Trap? Can the overflow be 1 1/2" (UPC)?
