I've recently remodeled my bathroom. I have an issue that when I pull the diverter knob to engage the shower that the diverter makes a high pitched squeeling sound. However, this only occurs when the water gets really hot, warm and cold water don't cause the diverter to make this sound.
Also, if I adjust the diverter so that some water continues out the diverter the sound will stop. However, then I'm left with not so great pressure out of the shower head.
This one really has me perplexed, any help would be appreciated.
I've called Moen, had to request a call back (hold time was estimating 1 hour 20 minutes). Took 2 hours for the call back and I couldn't get past the 1st level support that told me to remove the cartridge and flush the system. Which I informed her I've already tried twice.
