|In response to Re: Question about a high basement toilet--????|
You just need enough room to make a connection. To do it correctly, which I am sure the present one is not, you should also have a vent line from the toilet connection up to a point above the upper fixtures and then connected into a main vent.
: In our house the basement toilet is up more than a foot from the cement floor. We want to lower it. The sewage pipe from the toilet goes through the cement and probably bends, then continues on to attach to the main sewage line to the septic tank. My question is how much of the pipe that goes straight down from the toilet and before it elbows, do we need in order to get a good flush or does it matter?
