: we have an 1/2" line into the kitchen sink. While trying to replace the terminally ill faucet, I foung that the adaptors that had been put on the 1/2" line are corroded and stuck. I would appreciate any advice on how to help this loosen up without any extreme measures. FYI, it's an old house and the fixture has been on there at least 10 years.

Bob,
When pipes are old, you sometimes have to get extreme. They do make a tool with an extension that grips the nut and offers some leverage.
A little oil helps too.
There have been times, when I had to saw them off.
