Either of these toilets will work fine.
the Carrollton can be held closer to the wall with the 14" Unifit adapter. You pick up another 2" in the room that way and don't have so much space behind the toilet. The plumbing as you describe it is fine. Terry Love

: I'm renovating my half bathroom and am trying to determine if I will have a compatibility problem with a 1.6GPF toilet and the existing plumbing. The rough-in is 14", so I anticipate using the Toto Carrollton (comments?) *BUT*, the exiting waste line after the closet bend is 5" copper sloped at about 0.5-0.75" per foot (total run is probably 8-10') until it gets to the soil stack. Will a 1.6 GPF toilet work OK with large diameter copper? If not, I'll replumb with smaller PVC, change the rough in and use the Toto Dartmouth (any comments on that one?)...but I'm happy to avoid those modifications.
