The plan should be to remove the tile and sheetrock and then install the backer board to the studs over a moisture barrier. We recommend following the manufactuers guidelines. John : What can I use to fasten wonder board to a wall that is covered with ceramic tile over drywall? Would thinset and drywall screws work? |
