Low water pressure

Recently there was a leak in the yard and plumbers came out and dug down 6' and found the pipe leaking and fixed it. Afterwards, my water pressure was lower than it had been (even when it was leaking the water pressure was still normal). Now 4 weeks later there was another leak, closer to the house, the plumbers have once again come out and fixed it. They said it looked as though the pipe was "twisted" when it was installed orginally (back in 1970). Even though that is fixed I still have low water pressure. If you flush the toilet, the water trickles from any other place in the house and vice versa. What else could it be? Looking for answers. Would appreciate any help. Thanks!
