We just bought a house that is 43 years old. When you flush the toilet or run the washing machine water runs (not drips, runs) out of the shower head. The house is covered by our new home owners insurance policy but they sent a plumber out who said it wasn't covered because the problem was, and I quote, "The shower was improperly installed and has copper to galvanized pipes with no dyelectric union causing electrolysis."
I'm not a plumber but that diagnosis just doesn't make sense to me. Is that a possibility, or should we pay $45.00 to get a second opinion?
