I figured this out on my own. I bought new stems and started over. This time I used a wire brush to clean out the threads. I then screwed in and tightened up the stems very carefuly, being careful not to overtighten them. So far... no drips! : I have a stem/nibco valves in my bathtub. I replaced them and the slow drip stopped. A few weeks later it started again. I used liquid teflon. I'm somewhat sure I got the correct replacement stem. (Stem/Nibco). : What did I do wrong?
